Delighted with our new Cornish Mist painting which will be hung in our new Cornish bolthole.

It's a fabulous work of art by a fabulous artist, who we met at the opening of a London gallery.

Little did we know that we had visited Martyn's gallery in Port Isaac a year earlier!

We have long admired Martyn's yacht paintings, and sealife castings from our many years holidaying in Cornwall. We visited Port Isaac in October 2020 and passed by the gallery. Martyn and his lovely assistant were more than happy to chat about his art, and life in general. We mentioned our attraction to his yacht paintings, and after another long chat about our home, rooms, colour schemes etc, Martyn disappeared upstairs and returned with a newly completed painting of gold yachts on a black background - absolutely perfect for our home. We completed the collection with a giant crab, lobster and starfish ! Perfect !!

Spent many years holidaying in Port Isaac and at the end of a very strange year, we feel we have a slice of Cornwall in West Sussex. We are so very happy - thank you.

Recently took a short trip to Cornwall for a few days & so happened to visit Port Isaac. Well worth the trip! Just passing Martyn’s gallery and something caught my eye...crab sculpture. We were looking for something to grace our newly fitted bathroom. ‘Perfect’ sorry it was relegated to the bathroom but it fits perfectly! Hope to go back and choose something else for the living room. The lovely lady in the gallery told us a little history of Martyn and his work. Only just found out he is a Fellow Manc. I did think I new the name from somewhere, maybe we crossed path in Manchester. Just to say... very talented man & hope to purchase more of his unique work at a later date. His gallery was a great find.
