Martyn in Sri Lanka

Martyn is currently in Sri Lanka wear he spends his winters painting and surfing and being inspired by the wildlife and absorbing the tranquility and gentle pace of life. Along side his creative efforts on canvas he is also designing and overseeing the building of The Art Villa which is currently under construction and will be open to guests mid 2022. He is working on a series of contemporary abstract paintings and sea scapes.

The light at dawn and dusk in Sri Lanka can be both dramatic serene and truly atmospheric. He is painting on canvas in a mix medium format.He starts his process by sketches and then on to small studies on canvas in oils. Finely he moves to the large canvas. This series is called Sri Lanka light .He will be exhibiting these in Galleries across Cornwall and London IN 2022. Limited edition prints will also be available.
